A Letter From Our Founder
We founded Roch for a simple reason. Our dogs are family, we want to travel with them, and we were done with a hotel industry that treats us as an inconvenience and our dogs as a problem to be managed.
You already know the story. A hotel calls itself ‘pet-friendly’, you book in good faith, and then you arrive to a cleaning fee nobody mentioned, a weight limit that rules your dog out, and half the building she is banned from. Allowed was never the same as welcome, and ‘pet-friendly’ doesn’t mean anything.
So we set out to find the world’s best dog friendly hotels, and we published the world’s first Dog Friendly Standard, now used across thousands of hotels in more than 50 countries. We wrote down what dog friendly actually means and we assess hotels against it honestly, so when you travel with Roch you receive real hospitality, no matter where you are in the world.
