Watermark Beach Resort holds an acceptable C Roch Rank for dog friendly stays, and it earns that standing with some genuine strengths. Dogs are welcome in the bar at Back Roads Brewhouse, which is a rare and welcome touch, and most of the rooms themselves are dog friendly with no weight or size limit at all, so there is no need to worry whether your dog qualifies by breed or build. The resort also offers ample green space on the property for bathroom breaks, plus a designated Pet Relief Area at the Lion's Park area just past the kids' play park along the beach, giving your dog proper space to roam and relieve himself close to hand.
Day to day, the hotel keeps things simple but thoughtful. Poop bags are provided for convenience, and there are free treats and dog toys to make your dog feel welcome from arrival. The front desk team will share information on local walking routes when you arrive, and the hotel keeps an emergency vet number on hand should you need it. You may leave your dog alone in the room as long as he is not barking or disturbing other guests, which gives some flexibility if you need to step out. The pet policy is shared on the hotel's website before you book, so there should be no surprises. A dog fee of 30 CAD per day applies, alongside a refundable damage deposit of 100 CAD per day.
On the drawback side, the damage deposit is a real cost to plan for on top of the daily fee, and it adds up over a longer stay.
